Perfect Checklist for Father’s Day

1. Go to Amazon.com/fathersday to find potential products to promote.
2. Sort through to the appropriate section for your website and look for pre made “deal images”.
3. Save the image and generate an affiliate link for the page it goes to. Use this in your blog post somewhere as people love to click images especially if they outline the specifics of a sale.
4. Start writing the blog post and linking to Amazon products and the father’s day home page where appropriate.
5. Optionally use an Amazon affiliate plugin like phpZon, ReviewAZON etc. to quickly and easily toss product information into your blog posts.
6. Reinforce that you’ll keep your reader up to date on the best deals via your blog and then take the time to promote your newsletter so that they don’t miss out on any deals you will send to them over the next few days.
7. Finish the post with another link to the Amazon.com Father’s Day page
8. Over the next few days watch the Amazon’s Father’s Day page for Lightning Deals that are appropriate for your audience. When the deals crop up write a quick blog post about the product on sale and send an email to your newsletter. Remember to write the blog post and send the email quickly as the popular lightning deals really do go fast.

The important thing to remember is that you can make money and still provide value to your readers at the same time. If you’re the first person to tell your readers that Father’s Day is upon us AND there are some sweet deals on products he might like your readers will thank you for sharing this information.

Free Traffic Fast is a video product by Lance Tamashiro and Jason Parker. I reviewed it through and it is good stuff. Lance and Jason talk about viral traffic generating, web 2.0 traffic generating and email traffic generating.

Video is an overview of traffic generating tactics, but besides of that it contains both some very good tips and alternative views to think about “traditional” concepts. I was especially pleased with guest blogging and blog comment techniques.

I wish the mind map, that was used in the video, was included with the package. But overall Free Traffic Fast video was totally worth the low price.

This site is a perfect lesson on organic SEO and how to apply basic techniques and turn a site into a traffic powerhouse..

This site currently averages around 5000 unique visitors per day, and that’s on a normal day. during those times of the year when holidays are upon us, this site has pulled in as many as 25,000 unique visitors per day.

This site is a passion and a labor of love for her. It was not built to make money but does pretty well.

She likes to cook. And this site 2 years later is the end result though it is always a work in progress.

Here are the lessons you can lern:

1 ) Keyword research. I NEVER make a page without doing keyword research – NEVER.

2 ) Quality content.

3 ) Updating the site.

4 ) On some of my early pages I used bbq-a, bbq-b, bbq-c, etc. as page url’s. I now use keywords in my page url’s – example:

5 ) When writing a title I use up to three keywords, and use a combination of terms that have high search numbers and lower search numbers.

6 ) As I often see my page come up on a Google search with the meta description I take care in writing a description that I think will catch the eye of the searcher.

7 ) I update the index page on a fairly regular basis using content corresponding with a particular time of year.

8 ) Whenever I add a new page or update pages I always update my sitemaps.

9 ) Getting links has probably been the most time consuming and frustrating thing I’ve had to do.

10 ) Article writing. This is another great way to get links to your site.

11 ) Monetizing the site.

Please keep in mind that results don’t happen overnight. Don’t give up on your site. You will be rewarded in time for your good work!
